This is no longer the same show I marathoned back in February and March, and it’s clear it may never be ever again. Such a dramatic change makes for a good clean break for me to bail out. I haven’t even seen an episode with the new guys yet, and I’m unsubscribing. Unfortunately, instead of it being them getting back in to the groove, it ended up being Jon’s swan song. I remembered what it was like to laugh at Game Grumps again. Shatterhand seemed like a return to form. Over the last month or so, I’ve been weighing whether or not I wanted to unsubscribe. It only got worse any time they’d crack an “inappropriate” joke, like when they started calling each other “fags” or bleeped something racist. Between the Dead Space 3 thing, the Pacific Rim thing, and them flaunting how much money they were making (see: constant trips to Disneyland, buying $9000 arcade cabinets, bragging about Vegas antics) I started to get really annoyed with both Jon and Arin. It just wasn’t funny or interesting anymore, and on top of that, it was skittering on the edge of feeling like they were selling out. If this is what they consider material that is worth posting, I can’t imagine how bad that Conker playthrough was that they threw out. Mosquito sure is a weird game, but I got my fill of it when GiantBomb did a video on it three weeks before Game Grumps (and, for what it’s worth, GiantBomb, a site notorious for not paying attention to tutorials in games, understood more about how to play Mr. Did we need 4 episodes of Cookie & Cream? Great job spending 8 episodes getting nowhere in Chulip.

What they have been playing besides Sonic 06 has been hot garbage.

It’s like making a big deal out of watching “The Room” with your friends and they completely ignore most of the so-bad-it’s-funny moments because they’re too wrapped up stupid interpersonal gossip. Now it’s just a place to facilitate unrelated stories about everything else that isn’t Sonic 06.

The entire reason people would want to watch them finish that is because they want to see their reactions to it - and they have ceased to really react. It’s obvious they were forcing themselves to play Sonic 06.The problem is that Game Grumps has slowly begun to suck. So don’t think that I’m some kind of weird JonTron fanboy who’s unsubscribing because he’s gone now. In Game Grumps, Jon was always the one screaming in to the microphone and using sheer volume as his comedy gimmick. The JonTron Show was kind of hit or miss, but I enjoyed it enough.

When I first started watching Game Grumps, Jon was kind of the part I didn’t like.
